Piano moving needs specialist skill
A piano can weigh from 150 kg to over 600 kg. Moving one the wrong way risks permanent damage to the instrument and serious injury. We do it properly, every time.
Specialist equipment
Piano boards, skid boards and heavy-duty strapping — never improvised from standard removal kit.
Fully insured
Goods-in-transit cover from the moment we touch it until it’s placed in its new home.
Trained movers
Proper piano handling, from compact uprights to full concert grands.
Stairs & tight spaces
Every route is assessed in advance, so narrow stairs and tight corners are planned for.
Enclosed vans
Pianos travel enclosed and secured, protected from weather on the way.
Fixed pricing
Priced on piano type, access and distance — what you’re quoted is what you pay.

Piano removals — common questions
How much does it cost to move a piano in London?
Uprights start from £120, baby grands from £180 and grand pianos from £220. Concert grands are priced individually. All prices are fixed and all-inclusive.
Should I tune my piano after moving?
Yes, but wait 2–4 weeks so it can settle into its new room. We don’t tune pianos ourselves — book your usual tuner or a local one once it has settled.
Can you move a grand piano up or down stairs?
Yes. We remove the legs and pedal lyre, use piano boards on the stairs and plan the route in advance. There is no limit on the number of floors, even without a lift.
Do you move grand pianos as well as uprights?
Yes — we move uprights, baby grands and full grand pianos, from flats and terraced houses to larger homes, with the same careful process for each.
Is my piano insured during the move?
Yes — goods-in-transit cover is included, with enhanced cover available for high-value instruments.
How much notice do you need?
1–2 weeks for uprights and 2–4 weeks for grands. Shorter notice is often possible — just ask.
Do you move pianos long distance?
Yes, anywhere in the UK, in an enclosed van at a fixed, all-inclusive price.
