Moving a large house in Cobham
A long drive is good news on moving day, because the van can usually load right by the front door with no parking permit. Tell us about electric gates, narrow entrances, gravel or low branches, and we plan where the van stops and turns.
- Gate access shared in advance — gate codes, times and who will meet us
- Rooms planned in order — we load room by room so the new house is set up the same way
- Garage & garden — garden furniture, bikes, tools and gym kit included when you list them
- Beds & wardrobes — taken apart, wrapped and rebuilt in the right room

Protection for furniture you care about
Larger homes often mean antique tables, glass-fronted cabinets and big wardrobes. Each piece is wrapped in blankets and film before it moves, and fragile boxes are clearly marked and loaded apart from heavy items.

Moving home in Cobham: what to know
Most Cobham homes have their own drive, so parking is rarely the problem. Size, access and planning are what make the difference here.
Parking for the van
Most Cobham and Oxshott homes have a drive, so a suspension is rarely needed. Cobham High Street and the roads near the station are the exception. Surrey County Council handles bay suspensions and yellow-line waivers (fees in the FAQ below). Surrey County Council guidance →
Bigger houses, planned properly
A large house is priced as a full home removal. We look at your list and the access first, and if the load needs more than one trip with our van, we agree that, the team and the timing with you before you book.
Garden, garage & loft
Garden furniture, plant pots, bikes, tools and loft boxes add up quickly. List them when you book so they are in the price and nothing is left behind.
Tree-lined private roads
Some roads in Oxshott and Fairmile are narrow, private or lined with trees. We check that a large van can reach and turn at your house, and plan the stop if it cannot.

Removals in Cobham — common questions
How much do removals in Cobham cost?
Small loads start from £62 and a medium load from £140. A whole 1–2 bed home starts from £432, and bigger houses are priced by what you move. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. You see your fixed price online before you book.
Do you cover Oxshott and Stoke d’Abernon?
Yes. We cover all of KT11 (Cobham, Stoke d’Abernon, Downside), Oxshott in KT22, and nearby Ripley, Wisley and Hersham.
Can you move a large 4 or 5 bedroom house?
Often, yes, but it depends on how much you are moving and the access. Send us your list or photos first. If it needs more than one trip with our van, we agree the trips, team and price with you before you book.
My house has electric gates. What do you need?
Just the gate code or the name of the person who will open it, and the time we should arrive. Tell us if the entrance is narrow.
Do I need a parking suspension in Cobham?
Only if the van cannot use your drive or a legal space close to the door. At the time of writing Surrey County Council charges £90 per bay for up to 3 days (£15 for each extra day) for a suspension, or £35 for up to 3 days (£10 for each extra day) for a yellow-line waiver, and asks for at least 10 days’ notice. We tell you when you book if your street is likely to need one.
Do you move garden furniture and garage items?
Yes. List them when you book so they are included in your fixed price.
